The purpose of these courses is to look at all muscles and fascia as a unity, to understand functional connections and to track down the cause for pain by analysing the painful movements or postures.
This requires special training as pain in the locomotor apparatus is often caused by disturbances in the myofascial system located far away from the area where it hurts.
Therefore, fmt does not provide predetermined treatment points for specific pain syndromes. The most important element taught in the courses is the systematic search for the cause of the pain, which can be located in completely different places even if two patients have the same pain pattern.

The foundation course comprises 4 modules: an introductory module (21 x 45 min. over 3 days) and three continuation modules (each 16 x 45 min. over 2 days). Further advanced training is also available.
